The Prostitute Archetype
The Prostitute Archetype is one of our four survival Archetypes. We are always connecting with its energy when deciding how we sell ourselves and our time on this life, for all the things we think we need in order to have a safe life. Every time you decide to stay on a job you hate just because the money is good and you need to pay your bills, you are using the Prostitute in the shadow. You will be denying your true self to be what you came in this world to do, just for the safety of your paycheck. It might be hard to see the prostitute in the light, however as we know by know all Archetypes are neutral and have equally the light and the shadow.
In the light the Prostitute will be a great ally to let you know when you are selling your soul for physical survival. The Prostitute is the Guardian of Faith, and it is going to test you every time you are put against the wall and have to decide if you are going to compromise your values for money and safety. Are you going to stand for what’s right and risk loosing everything you have?
If you truly have faith that no matter what happens you will be looked after, then you will just know you are following your true destiny, and that brings a great sense of confidence in your life.
The shadow Prostitute is very strong in my life, and I have chosen immediate gratification over faith in the outcome countless times. I have always valued money over what is really important, too many times to count. The super cool thing is that once I learnt about the influence of this Archetype in my life, I have started making changes. One in particular was quite major and I did get to the crossroads of choice, but this time I was willing to loose everything for what I know was right.
Incredibly enough, as soon as I made the choice to risk everything and surrender my destiny to source, a sequence of Synchronicities started to happen and this major problem was just dealt with. To me, that was so clear that a higher force was at play, and this confirmation just gives me more confidence to carry on doing what’s right.
